ColorJet, a manufacturer of wide format digital printers in India, will launch its latest printer models—’Softjet Plus’ and ‘Polo Turbo – High Speed’—at the Media Expo in Hall 11, Stand D62 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The launch of the Softjet Plus signals the company’s extension of its product line towards the soft signage product line. The printer is suitable for printing on polyester-based fabrics, which can be recycled, and uses environment-friendly, aqueous-based inks.
Softjet Plus prints directly on fabrics for soft signage business and is optimized for replacement of PVC-based media and even the mesmerising backlit displays, while flexible displays can also be printed by this machine. The Polo Turbo is a high-speed industrial grade solvent printer, built on a heavyduty structure. Its independent drive technology drives each nozzle independently to achieve high speed production speeds of up to 2,800 sq. ft per hour, while also delivering high-quality output at low running costs.
The Polo Turbo is an 8-head, 4-color printer with printing resolution of 1,440 dpi and can print on media widths up to 3,300 mm, with a maximum thickness of 3.00 mm. It can print on SAV, PVC banner, backlit film, window film, and solvent-based fabrics.
Additionally, the company will also showcase the latest and upgraded version of solvent printer Neptune, which comes loaded with new features to make it more efficient and productive. The Neptune has an installed base of 1,500 printers, according to the company.
“We are launching the Softjet Plus to expand our product line and also to enable the entry of entrepreneurs in soft signage business at a lower investment,” said Colorjet’s brand manager Smarth Bansal. “The machine will prove to be attractive for producers of soft signage like flags, banners, hoardings, demo tents, vibrant backlits, etc. since nowadays a lot of fabric is being used for events like weddings decorations, banquets, etc. Softjet Plus opens another business avenue of customized decorative fabrics for its users and comes in both 2.5 and 3.2 m print width to target different market requirements,” Bansal informed.
