Pune-based Pratham Technologies, a manufacturer of paper folding machines, showcased their carton inspection system, Supersort, at Pamex 2015. Datta Deshpande, director of Pratham Technologies, said, “We have been part of every Pamex event as we feel it helps us connect with the consumers better. Since the show is being held in Mumbai, it is an extra bonus for us since the big fish that is the major packaging players are from in and around the city.”
Pratham in association with Vision Experts has made the Supersort 100% carton inspection system, wherein the feeder, inspections conveyor, ejector and other supplementary systems are manufactured at Pratham while the software and illumination system is made in Germany.
Elaborating on the benefits of the machine, Deshpande said, “The illumination system and the software developed by Vision Experts, who have been in the industry for 20 years, are used in the machine, making it top-notch in its segment.” He further added, “The ejection system uses a non-contact air ejector that is much quicker.” The machine displayed at the show was to be transferred to a Mumbai-based firm. The name of the company was not discussed for business reasons.
