New media channels and technology breakthroughs are constantly redefining the advertising and signage industry, and India’s largest advertising and signage trade fair, Media Expo is all set to bring the industry’s newest developments in the limelight from 16 to 18 January at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. One of the highlights of this edition will be the several eco-friendly technologies.

Spread across the 6,050 square metres exhibition space, Media Expo Mumbai will feature the Colorjet – Verve which was launched at the Media Expo Delhi and will be introduced in Mumbai for the first time. Colorjet will also for the first time launch the SoftJet Grand that comes with a printing width of 3.2 metres at the show. Equipped with industrial grade print head SoftJet Grand ensures aqueous non-polluting print technology. Talking about their participation at Media Expo Mumbai, Sultan Singh, product manager, Industrial Division – Colorjetsays, “We are glad to entrust Media Expo as the launch pad of our Softjet Grand, the high speed direct to fabric printer after the successful launch of the Verve – UV flatbed at the Delhi Media Expo 2014.”

Aditya Digital Technologies on the other hand will be showcasing the Sunfix self-adhesive fabric which makes it possible to move to fabrics for wall decorations and indoor branding posters. This environment-friendly fabric comes with an engineered bubble-free removable adhesive and is an ideal green solution to the traditional vinyl posters. The company will also showcase printable environment-friendly wall papers offering a range of plain and textured papers which can be digitally printed on eco-solvent, latex and UV platforms for wall applications.

As organizations strive to enhance consumer experience, the digital signage market is also gaining increasing acceptance among organizations while business houses today are gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental responsibility, and many are seeking innovative ways to go green. Media Expo will be an interactive platform to see and explore such innovations in advertising and the signage industry. Along with these, the platform will also feature leading brands such as Apsom Infotex, PV Media Vision, Epson India, Technova Imaging Systems, Global 5 technologies, Negi Sign Systems & Supplies, Suresh Indu Lasers, Canon Enterprises, Fujifilm India, Astrojet India and many others with the latest products, services and technologies in the signage, point-of-purchase, advertising, printing, retail and shop displays, and promotional material.

In 2024, we are looking at full recovery and growth-led investment in Indian printing

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. It created the category of privately owned B2B print magazines in the country. And by its diversification in packaging, (Packaging South Asia), food processing and packaging (IndiFoodBev) and health and medical supply chain and packaging (HealthTekPak), and its community activities in training, research, and conferences (Ipp Services, Training and Research) the organization continues to create platforms that demonstrate the need for quality information, data, technology insights and events.

India is a large and tough terrain and while its book publishing and commercial printing industry have recovered and are increasingly embracing digital print, the Indian newspaper industry continues to recover its credibility and circulation. The signage industry is also recovering and new technologies and audiences such as digital 3D additive printing, digital textiles, and industrial printing are coming onto our pages. Diversification is a fact of life for our readers and like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in nominal and real terms – in a region poised for the highest change in year to year expenditure in printing equipment and consumables. Our 2024 media kit is ready, and it is the right time to take stock – to emphasize your visibility and relevance to your customers and turn potential markets into conversations.
