The latest addition to HP’s portfolio, the HP XT870 complements the HP DesignJet Z6 (24 inch and 44 inch) and HP DesignJet Z9⁺ printer series, giving photo businesses access to solutions across different business requirements and price points.
“India’s photography industry is changing, and behind that change are thousands of photographers and photo printing businesses looking to grow, serve their customers better and create new opportunities. He added “The HP DesignJet XT870 strengthens our portfolio as a more accessible entry-level solution, combining the quality and reliability HP is known for with affordable original HP supplies and a simple, intuitive workflow. It gives businesses a way to bring more printing capabilities in-house and expand their offerings across applications such as photographs, posters, glossy prints and canvas. Together with our HP DesignJet Z6 and Z9⁺ solutions, we offer a portfolio designed to support customers from their first step into professional photo printing through to more advanced requirements.”
The HP DesignJet XT870 24-inch printer is designed to simplify everyday printing, with multi-size printing through an integrated input tray that enables users to work across different print sizes (A4 to 24X36) without manually switching between roll and sheet media. Powered by HP Flex Tech pigment inks, the printer delivers professional-quality output across a range of applications.
The printer also features HP Click, HP’s intuitive print solution that simplifies print preparation and workflow. With real-print preview, automatic error detection and driverless printing, HP Click helps users streamline the process from preparing a job to sending it to print, reducing manual intervention and saving valuable time. Features such as nesting, drag-and-drop and automatic source selection further simplify everyday printing.
The HP DesignJet XT870 is designed to support business growth by prioritizing professional performance and productivity. By utilizing affordable original HP supplies, businesses can improve their economics while maintaining HP’s high standards of quality and reliability. The printer streamlines workflows through an integrated input tray that enables seamless multi-size printing without the need to manually switch between rolls and sheets. Additionally, with print speeds reaching up to 21 seconds per A1/D page, it helps boost turnaround times, while HP Flex Tech pigment inks ensure professional-quality output for a variety of media, including photographs, posters, and CAD drawings.
Sustainability is also a core focus of the printer’s design. The device is constructed using at least 45% recycled plastic and 10% recycled metal. Operational efficiency is enhanced through automatic on/off scheduling, which can reduce energy consumption by up to 60%, and routine printhead cleaning processes that use up to 95% less ink. Furthermore, the HP DesignJet XT870 minimizes environmental impact through 100% polystyrene-free packaging and supports responsible disposal by facilitating cartridge recycling via the HP Planet Partners program.
