Punjab-based Malhotra Photocopier has expanded its digital printing capabilities with the installation of a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C12010, a move aimed at enhancing productivity, improving print quality and supporting future business growth.
Founded in 1997 by Vivek Malhotra in Jalandhar, the company initially operated as a repair and servicing business before diversifying into photocopying services as customer requirements evolved. Over the years, the business expanded from black-and-white printing into color production, steadily investing in advanced technologies to strengthen its service offering and improve operational efficiency.
Today, Malhotra Photocopier serves customers across Jalandhar and surrounding areas, serving a diverse mix of commercial, institutional and educational clients. In its early years, the company worked extensively with educational institutions, including Lovely Professional University.
As demand increased and the business matured, it broadened its customer base to include clients from a variety of sectors. Agents and channel partners now represent a significant share of its business alongside direct customers.
The company employs a team of around eight professionals who oversee production, machine operations and day-to-day business activities.
Malhotra Photocopier’s association with Konica Minolta began in 2017 with a bizhub PRO 1100 production press. Following several years of satisfactory performance, the company decided to deepen its investment in the brand by installing the AccurioPress C12010 on 24 April 2026.
Explaining the rationale behind the investment, Vivek Malhotra said the decision was driven by growing customer demand and the need to increase production efficiency. “This investment was driven by the need to cater to increasing customer demand, improve productivity, achieve faster turnaround times, and enhance our capability to manage a wider range of print applications and higher-volume jobs,” he said.
According to Malhotra, the AccurioPress C12010 has enabled it to further strengthen the quality and efficiency of its print operations while creating a platform for future growth. Konica Minolta also provided support throughout the installation and commissioning process and conducted operator training covering machine operation, maintenance procedures and workflow optimization.
“Konica Minolta provided comprehensive support throughout the installation and commissioning process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free setup,” Malhotra said, adding that hands-on training helped operators maximize productivity and achieve the best possible print outcomes.
Notably, Malhotra Photocopier has built its printing infrastructure exclusively around Konica Minolta equipment. The company said it has continued to rely solely on the manufacturer’s presses because of their “consistent print quality and efficiency” over the years.
Looking ahead, the company expects the latest investment to deliver a return within two to three years. “The investment is expected to generate value through enhanced productivity, superior print quality, reduced turnaround times, and improved operational efficiency,” Malhotra said. He added that the machine would enable the company to handle a broader range of applications and higher-volume jobs, helping create new business opportunities while supporting long-term growth.
