Jagran Prakashan was named Publisher of the Year at the ABBY Creative Awards 2026 Powered by One Show, with the results announced at Goafest 2026.
The company emerged as the clear winner, securing the title with a total of 8 metals — including 3 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze, and 1 Merit — and achieving the highest overall score of 46 points in the category.
Jagran Prakashan finished well ahead of its competitors. The Hindu Group secured second place with 4 metals — 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Merit — earning a total of 22 points.
Jagran’s success was driven by two key campaigns, ‘People without a Name’ and ‘The Day the Roof Fell.’ ‘People without a Name’ won two Gold metals in the categories of Best Promotion of a CSR / Cause-Related Marketing Initiative and Best Marketing of a Printed Newspaper or Edition. ‘The Day the Roof Fell’ earned a Gold in the Best Promotion of a CSR / Cause-Related Marketing Initiative category.

ABP and Hindustan Media Ventures tied for third place, each earning 14 points. ABP won 2 metals — 1 Gold and 1 Silver — while Hindustan Media Ventures secured 4 metals in total, including 1 Silver, 1 Bronze, and 2 Merits.
Bennett Coleman followed with 2 metals — 1 Silver and 1 Merit — totaling 8 points, while Sakal Media Private Limited completed the rankings with 1 Silver and 6 points.
Mathrubhumi Group has emerged as the only media company from Kerala to receive recognition at the prestigious Goafest ABBY Awards 2026, securing three Silver ABBYs for campaigns entered by Maitri Advertising Works.
In total, the ABBY Creative Awards 2026 Powered by One Show awarded 21 metals in the Publisher of the Year category, including 5 Gold, 8 Silver, 3 Bronze, and 5 Merits, adding up to 110 points overall.
