In the heart of Mumbai’s Goregaon East, two long-standing digital printing businesses—Anupam Xerox and G Mahavir Digital—have enhanced their production capabilities with the installation of Bindwel’s SigLoch Sigma single-clamp perfect binders. Both installations reflect the growing demand for high-quality, time-bound book production in a competitive urban print market.

Anupam Xerox, founded by Jagdish Hansraj Khant in 1990, began with a single-color offset setup and has steadily expanded over the decades. Operating out of a 700-square-foot space, the business offers a comprehensive digital print service portfolio—from visiting cards to self-published books and builder catalogues. Its digital fleet includes Konica Minolta and Xerox engines, complemented by post-press finishing including lamination, die-cutting, and guillotining.

The recent addition of the SigLoch Sigma has enabled Anupam Xerox to deliver perfect-bound books with improved consistency and turnaround time. The team credits the machine’s compact design and user-friendliness for smoother operations and is particularly proud of its recurring self-published book orders and timely execution of marketing collaterals for clients like Oberoi Realty.

G Mahavir Digital, led by Navin Gala, began in 1996 with a photocopying setup and has since grown into a three-location operation spanning 1,800 square feet. The press caters to a wide variety of retail and institutional clients, offering digital print, wide-format eco-solvent printing, foiling, spot UV, and perfect binding.

With high-volume educational clients such as Wakade Classes, which place orders of up to 3,000 books twice a year, G Mahavir required a reliable, perfect binder that could ensure quality output under tight deadlines. The SigLoch Sigma, installed at the Goregaon unit, has helped reduce rejections and bring better control to the post-press workflow. Projects like the Elle Switch booklet and promotional calendars for Tata AIG exemplify the press’s print-to-finish capabilities.

Both companies praised Bindwel’s technical support and after-sales service. While Khant of Anupam Xerox highlighted the role of the machine in handling publication jobs for a long-term client, Gala of G Mahavir Digital noted a significant drop in rejections since the installation.

Bindwel, in its assessment, noted that both installations reflect the resilience and adaptability of Mumbai’s digital print segment. With SigLoch Sigma, these print service providers have not only upgraded their production efficiency but are also contributing to a higher standard of quality in short-run bookbinding.
