In a move to target jobbers and printers across the Delhi-NCR region, Xerox India organized an open house on 6 June to showcase its newly launched multifunction printers — the Xerox AltaLink Color C8235 and the VersaLink 7100.

Printers explored the capabilities of the machines at the event, hosted by Identivetech, Xerox’s authorized channel partner for the Delhi-NCR area.

The open house provided a platform for live demonstrations, technical discussions, and networking among digital print service providers looking for high-quality and cost-effective office printing solutions. The attendees had the opportunity to see firsthand how Xerox is integrating AI-driven features and high-resolution imaging into its latest range of multifunction printers.

Kamaljeet Choudhary, partner business manager at Xerox India, said the new printers are designed for digital printing applications that require color accuracy, productivity, and ease of use. “The office printers highlighted here are specifically targeted at printers dealing with digital color prints and looking for high-quality outputs with user-friendly specifications,” Choudhary said.

He specifically focused on the AI-assisted technology now available in Xerox’s latest offerings. These AI features will be available through integrated apps within the printer, where customers can access credits to enhance their workflow efficiency.

The Xerox C8235 is a 2400 dpi printing machine designed for media up to 300 gsm. A key feature is its single-pass dual automatic document feeder (SPDF), allowing faster and more efficient scanning and copying. Choudhary described the C8235 as the best-in-industry office multifunction printer in the mid-range CMYK digital printing segment. “With its 2400 dpi resolution, the C8235 delivers output quality that is at par with the production printers,” he said.

Choudhary noted a significant shift in the market dynamics of digital printing. “A decade ago, offset printing was the dominant technology. However, in today’s landscape, there is a clear move towards immediate, short-run, and low-volume printing,” he explained.

After Lexmark International’s acquisition, Xerox is eyeing to be one of the leading players in the printing industry. “Over the past two years, Xerox has been on a reinvention journey. With new technologies, partnerships, and an expanding product line, Xerox is set to become a top player in the printing industry,” Choushary said.
