Using Komori technology for years, Karnal-based Jawa Printers has eventually acquired a new Enthrone E429. The company is using the advancement and capabilities of the four-colour Komori sheetfed offset press to adapt, evolve, and stay ahead of the game by offering newer applications, enhanced graphic textures, and faster productivity.

Founded by Gauri Shankar in 1989, Jawa Printers has been in the business of commercial printing, working predominantly for clients from the agrochemical industry. The company’s team of 25 skilled and experienced printing and production staff is operating a fleet of presses, including the new Enthrone E429 and a string of post-press machines and equipment, fulfilling clients’ demands. His brother Jugal Kishore helps Shankar in the business.

According to Shankar, they prefer Komori. “It had been our firm decision to invest in a new Komori press. When our production facility had no new Komori machine, we tied up with business partners based in Delhi-NCR whose facilities were equipped with the latest Komori models.”

Shankar adds, “There was a turning point that turned out to be a cherished moment for us as it led to the installation of the new Komori press in our facility. In 2015, as part of our routine job of outsourcing some prints to our printing partners in Delhi-NCR, we flagged off a truckload of glossy papers for printing multi-colour calendars at a partner’s production facility in the capital.”

Shankar shares, “The very next day, the truck we sent to Delhi returned, parked right in front of the gate of our facility, fully loaded with the multi-colorful printed calendars. We checked the products, which were perfectly printed and produced on a Komori machine. It was the day we decided to install the Enthrone E429.”

Engineered to operate at the speed of 13,000 sph, the Enthrone E429 delivers prints in size up to 20” x 29”. It is equipped with Komori PQC (Print Quality Control), Station PCC with CIP3 Connexion, PDM-II (PQC Data Manager-II), AMR (Automatic Make Ready), S-APC (Semi-Automatic Plate Mounting), and other advanced features that make high-quality printing and productivity possible, along with compatibility with a wide variety of sheets of different thicknesses for short-run and diverse work mixes.

“What it has taken into a new move in our business with the brand new Enthrone E429 is not just an overnight transition. Over the years, we have been a loyal user of Komori technology. With the Komori machine now running efficiently in our facility, we are now focusing more on magnifying the value and innovation in flexible packaging solutions and more such applications and activities,” says Shankar.
