At the recently concluded Media Expo Mumbai, HP unveiled its latest innovation in large-format printing — the HP Latex 630 W printer. This new model stands out with its white ink capability, aimed at small traditional sign makers that need to handle one-off and small-run jobs with ease and versatility. The printer boasts a maximum printing speed of 150 square feet per hour (14 square meters an hour) and supports media widths up to 64 inches.

Vitesh Sharma from HP said the HP Latex 630 W represents the fourth generation of HP’s latex printing technology. “What we were displaying is our fourth generation of latex printing. That’s our most affordable fourth-generation latex. The first generation was launched 15 years ago. So, with our Latex technology, we believed in sustainability 20 years ago,” said Vitesh Sharma of HP.

In addition to the Latex 630 W, HP showcased the HP Latex 700 W, HP Latex 335 printers and HP DesignJet Z6 at the expo.

Triple S theme

HP’s participation at the expo revolved around the theme ‘Triple S’ – stunning, sustainable, and seamless. The company says the theme encapsulates its commitment to high-quality design and color (stunning), eco-friendly practices (sustainable), and providing integrated solutions that simplify the user experience (seamless).

Three pillars of Triple S theme are stunning, sustainable, and seamless. Stunning encapsulates the entire gamut of design, color, and quality, and various substrates. As said earlier, sustainability is our core philosophy. The third S is about seamlessness. At the end of the day, we are beyond just hardware. We are an IT organization. What we also aspire to do is to provide solutions to our customers where it makes their lives easy,” Sharma said.

Reflecting on the expo’s turnout, Sharma observed a vibrant and diverse visitor profile, with attendees showing a keen interest in growth and innovation within the sector.

I find it a little more vibrant this time. A lot of people and they do seem excited. And also, there is a notion of people trying to figure out how to grow further. At HP, we are excited about the growth of the sector as well. Segments such as wallpapers are witnessing robust growth,” Sharma concluded.
