“The price, features, speed, financing options, size, service and total cost of ownership – on each of these counts Enthrone is a clear winner.”

The Komori Enthrone has caught on with Indian printers with a large number of multicolor presses installed in the past year. Apart from the metros, presses were installed in Tier 2 and 3 cities and towns such as Rajkot, Raipur, Guwahati, Satara, Pune, Vijayawada, Kala Amb and Lucknow amongst others. Larger cities and metros such as Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad – have received, installed and commissioned multiple Enthrone machines.

Komori’s proposition to printers is this those running two or more pre- owned, old presses can increase their return on investment (ROI) by replacing the old presses with a single Enthrone. A new multicolor Enthrone takes less than half the space with its

small footprint of 21 x 9 feet, less then half the power (it is claimed to be more power efficient than two old presses), and less than half the manpower because of its automated features and requires extremely low maintenance in comparison to looking after two old multicolor presses. It is claimed that a new press can produce more than 100 sets in less than 24 hours with its fast makeready features and can print a thousand sheet print job in about ten minutes. On long run work, the Enthrone can produce 2,00,000 impressions in 24

hours in a production environment. A brand new press equipped with CIP4 capability can save considerable time and paper wastage on makereadies.

According to Ajay Aggarwal, CEO, Insight group, Enthrone presses do not use alcohol at all in their dampening systems and this itself is a saving apart from the improvement in work environment. All the savings put together strengthen the ROI for a new press and printers need to look at selling at least one of their old presses to make a down payment and saving should look after the EMI’s for for financing the new press.

Sangam Khanna, director, Insight group says, “Enthrone is a mini Lithrone which packs the power of the Lithrone with its short makeready design, double diameter cylinder,

CIP4 ready and compact size of only 21 x 9 feet. 19 x 26-inches is a perfect size for Indian market, and we are generating huge demand for this size, especially from the commercial segment.”

The reason for the Enthrone’s success in India is largely because it is a value for money package. Atul of Kaveri Offset, a Komori customer in New Delhi, says, “The price, features, speed, financing options, size, service and total cost of ownership – on each of these counts Enthrone is a clear

winner.
