In collaboration with printing technology expert Roland, Orafol, a leading manufacturer of retroreflective materials, unveiled the Oralite Eco Traffic printer at Media Expo Mumbai 2024. This solution marks an advancement in eco-solvent printing technology, specifically tailored for traffic applications.

The Oralite Eco Traffic printer represents a specialized solution designed to produce reusable temporary and permanent signs, catering to a wide range of applications in traffic safety, construction site signage, images within traffic signs, and various graphic uses. With its ability to produce traffic signs adhering to common national and international standards, the printer ensures reliability and compliance with certified signage requirements.

Commented on the significance of the innovation, Anshul Vashistha, national sales manager, Graphic Innovations at Orafol India, said, “With the rapid growth in the road network in India, the market for retroreflective signs is growing. We are manufacturing the retroreflective sheet as well as the print solution. So, our partners can now offer a complete solution to the government. This particular business fully runs on a business-to-government (B2G) model.”

In addition to the Oralite Eco Traffic printer, Orafol highlighted the Oralite 5017 eco-solvent digital printing inks, perfectly compatible with the printer and featuring highly resilient pigments.

“With this ink system, we offer a 7 to 12 years warranty depending upon the media being used. Whereas when you look at all the digital print machines, the maximum warranty they can offer is five years,” Vashistha said.

Key features of the Oralite Eco Traffic printer include its ability to handle a maximum media width of 295 mm to 1,371 mm and a maximum print width of 1,346 mm, ensuring versatility and efficiency in printing operations.
