Konica Minolta introduced the bizhub series press C1070 and 1060 in light production printing category in the month of May 2014. These replace the 7000 and the 6000 series — its entry level presses in the production printing segment. The new bizhubs have an advanced paper handling technology with an air suction paper feeder option similar to offsetsheetfed presses. “Thisisthe fastest selling machine currently in the country in terms of volume in the entry level production printing segment,” says Manish Gupta product and marketing manager production printing, Konica Minolta India.

Introducing new technology

“We have also launched bizhub C1100 and C1085 presses in the mid and high volume production printing category in November 2015. These supersede our very successful and market leading model in the country, the C8000 printer,” says Gupta. The new engine provides additional benefits in terms of print quality and higher productivity. The bizhub press C1100 and bizhub press C1085 feature the enhanced Simitri HDE toner and screen-enhancing active digital (SEAD IV) screen processing to continuously maintain image stability over longer press runs. The new series also incorporate the latest vacuum based paper feeder and spot-on registration. The reliable paper handling and hybrid decurling (zig zag plus moisture) features provide consistently flat sheets at the output end.

Gupta says that all the new machines have been well received and thatso far in the first nine months of the current financial year, Konica Minolta India has installed 400 machines establishing its leadership in the production printer category with a growth of 19% over the previous year. Komori and Konica Minolta’s much awaited collaborative KM1 digital press is eagerly awaited at IGAS 2015 and Drupa 2016 and Konica Minolta.
