Fujifilm India showcased its latest products and solutions for signage and advertising industries at the Media Expo 2016 held in Mumbai from 15 to 17 January. On display was the latest version of Acuity LED 1600, the Acuity LED 1600 II, which has better productivity and versatility. The LED UV inkjet printer has the ability to print on a wide variety of roll and rigid media. Its new feature comprises a new fast printing mode of 33 square metre (355 square feet) in an hour, which is 50% faster than the previous model. This addresses customer demand for faster job turnarounds and lower output cost.
Fujifilm also displayed various sample prints meant for segments such as wall paper printing, metallic paper printing, tiles and glass prints done of Acuity flatbed printers. As part of the new innovation, the company showcased samples of printing with white and clear inks together.
In a significant development for the company, a new demonstration centre will be inaugurated on 22 January 2016 in the Mumbai suburb of Dahisar. A lot of global vertical heads are expected to be present at the event and some important announcements will also be made at the occasion. Speaking about the demo centre, Pradipta Chowdhury, manager salesWFIJ, graphic arts division, Fujifilm India said the centre will be equipped with three machines – Acuity LED, Acuity EY and Acuity Advance. “We are also planning to add UV at a later stage,” he said.
Chowdhury added that such a facility will be helpful in letting customers become familiar with the company’s technologies and machines. They can try out new ideas and concepts before they actually set up their own business. Talking about the response received at Media Expo he said that the Fujifilm stand saw a large footfall from visitors from both big cities as well as smaller towns.
