Indian Printer & Publisher got a chance to interact with two legacy clients of HP at the Media Expo 2017, New Delhi. Both the companies, Directions Retail Projects and Hannu Marketing, have installed HP premium equipment at their facilities. Hannu Marketing, a prominent name in the printing industry, is the first buyer of HP’s L3200 machine in India. The installation of the machine is currently underway.

On the other hand, Directions Retail Projects recently installed HP Latex 1500 at its facility. The company was established in the year 2000. A Delhi based high-end signage solution provider, Directions Retail Projects has a state-of-the art facility in Patparganj industrial area. Highlighting the benefits of the HP press, Amit Jain, director of Directions Retail Projects said, “The product is very eco-friendly and is a corporate approved machine. It allows back to back printing as well as multi-roll printing.”

“The product is very eco-friendly and is a corporate approved machine. It allows back to back printing as well as multi-roll printing.”

He further spoke about the transformation he has witnessed in the market over the years. “The market is definitely growing. The scope to scale up the sales is improving year after year. There is a constant increase in demand. I have also witnessed an increased demand for quality print. Diversification from flex to fabrics has further pushed the demand for eco-friendly solutions,” he stated. The company also operates in the packaging space and is into offset printing.

At Hannu Marketing’s company stand, we met the company’s managing director Vinod Kumar Gupta, who spoke at length on a range of topics. Hannu Marketing has been associated with HP for the last 15 years, with a range of machines from the HP premium line installed at the company’s facility.

“The main reason behind purchasing the HP L3200 was to serve customers from the corporate space and various other agencies in an eco-friendly manner. I went to China five years ago and noticed a cloth printing technique there. Now, the same trend is being observed in India. People are demanding better options. We are now planning to start soft signage; for instance, cloth printing signage in a completely ecofriendly manner,” shared Gupta.

“During the initial stages, the Indian advertising industry was quite regressive but since the market was at a nascent stage, we got the opportunity to capitalise on the situation and grow. The industry demands for something innovative every time. The one who delivers it, survives. And for us to deliver as per customers’ expectations, we need to have some very good equipment with us,” he said. The company is also looking for expansion in a few months.
