Espon’s new Surecolor S-Series wide format printers draws good response

Epson India showed its SureColor S-Series of wide format printers at the Media Expo Mumbai 2017. On display at the Epson stand were SC S40670, S60670 and S80670. All the three eco-solvent S-Series printers were launched last year. The main highlight, which attracted a large number of visitors, was a stage where Epson showcased a wide variety of applications such as car wrapping, wall graphics and sublimations that can be executed using its technology. 

“By presenting the actual application such as car wrapping and wall wrapping at the event, we have tried to show the different ways in which our technology can be used. This creates a lasting impression on the potential customers who visit our stand,” says Milind Chavan, area head – LFP west, Epson.

The S80670 is Epson’s next generation eco-solvent 10-color printer for a wide variety of indoor and commercial applications. The printer 64 inches wide and boasts of a speed of up to 95.1 sq. m per hour. The press employs Epson’s UltraChrome GS3 ink and offers an option of white or metallic silver colors.

The S40670 can print at a speed of 58.4 sq. m per hour and has a width of 64 inches. “The S40670 is an entry-level model and offers great quality at low operational cost,” Chavan says. The press can print all types of indoor and outdoor commercial printing applications including posters, signs, banners, backlit panels, interior decorations, exhibition panels and more. 

The S60670 prints at a speed of 95.3 sq. m per hour and uses Epson’s UltraChrome GS3 ink technology. 

Talking about the response received at Media Expo, Chavan says, “The first day was a bit slow due to Mumbai municipal elections but the footfall picked up from the second day onwards. We got a good response on the second and the third day.”
