Welcoming decision makers from marketing, advertising, signage and OOH industry, Media Expo 2019 begins on 6 September 2019 and will take place till 8 September 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. A significant growth in exhibition space and exhibitor numbers highlights the position of the show as a platform to meet, network and source advertising tools in the Indian market.
With technological advancements taking place on a steady pace in the media and entertainment business, India is one of the prominent markets where print and signage industry is still standing strong. In order to source these technologies and advanced solutions, Media Expo converges manufacturers, suppliers and business visitors from the industry. Starting from today to 8 September 2019, the exhibition has surpassed its exhibitor record with 220 exhibitors this year indicating a 13% growth in comparison to the previous show. Spread acorss halls 8, 9,10,11,12, and 12A – this year’s show observes a 14% surge in exhibition space.

The show was inaugurated by industry leaders such as Deborshi Paul, business head, Apsom Infotex, Pradipta Chowdhury, National head-Graphics Division, Fujifilm India, Santoash Nair, Category Country manager, HP, Nirav G, managing director, A.T. Inks, Nils Frerichs, Sales manager (Central Europe & Asia), Shilpa International, Raj Manek, executive director & board member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings, and Michael Dehn, general manager – Sales & Marketing, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India.
Dehn said, “We acquired the show back in 2014 and I am happy to announce that the exhibition has grown 64% in the last 5 years and hosts more than 200 exhibitors this year. Together with the leading advisory firm Ernst & Young, we have conceptualized a platform which will be rewarding innovative applications in the industry and are pleased to announce the launch of ‘Media Expo Excellence Awards’ which will take place at our next edition in 2020.” The curtain raiser to the MEA 2020 Awards took place at the inauguration today.
The on-going show in New Delhi reflects the country’s energetic and colorful spirit as the show bustled with business visitors exploring vibrant print, signage and POP samples displayed by the exhibitors. The show has over 150 live demonstrations giving first hand experience of the technology used and quality of finished products to the visitors. Along with the industry’s quintessential needs like textile and flatbed printers, display equipment, vinyl and other marketing materials, popular trends like 3D printers and digital signage with build-in IoT systems also grabbed visitors’ attention.
World’s largest 3D printer on display
Although 3D printing is still at a nascent stage, it is reported to expand in the coming year and is reported to touch US$ 79 million by 2021 in India. One of the major product attraction at the show, Massivit 3D printer by Arrow Digital is the world’s largest 3D printer that can be used for POP and POS. The machine, displayed for the first time in India, will be demonstrated during the show and is used to create 3D POP displays, props, and selfie points, 2D/3D billboards and signage, innovative window displays, 3D moulds for thermo-forming, channel letters and 3D logos, custom-shaped SEG frames (soft signage), and personalized pop-ups for stores and booths.
Apart from a wide range of product displays, the event also encourages insightful discussions. On the first day of the show, workshops on the upcoming trends and solutions to help leverage the indoor and outdoor advertising industry took place.
