Thane-based digital print services provider Neelkamal Xerox has overhauled its printing set-up in the last six months by adding new machines for wide format printing as well as regular commercial printing jobs. It has invested in an Epson SureColor SC-P20070 wide format printer for photo printing, canvas printing and architectural printing jobs. Neelkamal Xerox has also bought a new Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro 1100 to cater to regular digital commercial printing jobs.

“For wide format printing jobs, we have always relied on Epson technology. We started with Stylus Pro 9700 and then upgraded to Epson SureColor SC-T7270. Since we gradually started getting large-sized jobs, we went for the 64-inch Epson SureColor SC-P20070. We have been very happy with Epson technology,” says Kiran Pahuja of Neelkamal Xerox.

The Epson SureColor SC-P20070 is a 64-inch high-speed production printer equipped with PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead and UltraChrome PRO ink. The PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead utilizes 8000 nozzles, for print speeds up to 17.5-meter square per hour.

Neelkamal Xerox’s other purchase, the Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro 1100, is an entry-level digital black & white printer. It has a black & white production speed of 100 A4 or 55 A3 pages per minute and has a resolution of 1200 dpi. The Bizhub Pro 1100 can handle media weights between 40 and 300 gsm (optional 350 gsm).

“We booked the Bizhub Pro 1100 during Pamex 2017, which was held in December last year. Again, we opted for Konica Minolta because we were already using Konica Minolta C1060 color digital printer and were satisfied with their service,” Pahuja shares.

Having invested in two new machines in the last six months, Neelkamal Xerox will be in consolidation phase for the next 9 to 12 months but the next major investment will be in a black & white wide format printer.

“We have been looking to get a new wide format black & white printer of 36-inch size and we have zeroed in on KIP, which is a brand owned by Konica Minolta,” he says.
