Just five months after installing a Canon imagePRESS V800 digital color production press, Hyderabad’s V ADS Digital Printing is experiencing a significant enhancement in print quality, production capacity, and overall productivity.
The compact digital color production press from Canon India has enabled the print shop to produce premium-quality graphic prints and a wide range of finished products with enhanced versatility and efficiency.
Owned by Vivek Billa and his wife Mounika Billa, V ADS Digital Printing operates with a team of around half a dozen printing and production professionals – offering high-quality prints and a range of finished products, including textured cards, metallic cards, transparent stickers, PVC stickers, magazines, and more.
According to Vivek, the Canon digital color production press has strengthened their confidence in meeting customers’ expectations for quality, innovation, distinctive print outputs, and finished-products.
“With quality comes productivity, and we are enjoying both with the iPR V800. We have reached print capacity of 14,000 sheets a day on this Canon digital color production press. On certain occasions, the volume reaches 80,000 sheets in a month. This press gives us the confidence to meet demanding requirements of customers in terms of quality, volume, and stringent delivery deadlines,” said Mounika.
“Despite its compact design and small footprint, the iPR V800 accommodates oversized print jobs that other presses in its class may struggle to handle. This capability gives us greater flexibility in serving diverse customer requirements.”
Capable of handling a wide variety of conventional and unconventional media, the iPR V800 operates at speeds of up to 80 pages per minute (ppm) and delivers a print resolution of up to 2,400 × 2,400 dpi. Its extensive media-handling capabilities allow it to process stocks ranging from 52gsm to 350gsm, including textured stocks, coated papers, envelopes, and synthetic media. The digital colour production press also supports long-sheet printing of up to 1,300mm, further expanding the range of media types.
“In addition to the overall versatility of the iPR V800, we are happy and satisfied with the prompt and supportive service of Canon India’s regional team,” Mounika said.
Although V ADS Digital Printing is relatively new to the market, having been established just a couple of years ago, both Vivek and Mounika bring more than 15 years of experience and expertise in the printing industry. Within a relatively short period, the print shop has built a reputation as a versatile digital printer catering to customers across diverse market segments as well as individuals of different age groups and backgrounds.
Alongside high-quality digital printing, V ADS offers a range of post-press services, including lamination, half-cutting, and creasing, enabling the company to deliver a broader selection of customised print products and finished applications under one roof.
