Mohit Jain elected ABC chairman for FY26-27

Mohit Jain, chief operating officer (publishing) and board member of Bennett, Coleman & Co. (BCCL), has been unanimously elected chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for 2026–27. Jain has held senior roles spanning publishing, business operations and industry affairs.

He was president of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) in 2021-22 and has served on its Board for over 20 years. He also spent three years on Wan-Ifra’s Global Supervisory Board and currently serves as vice-president of INMA’s South Asia Division Board.

Vikram Sakhuja, partner and director at Madison World, was unanimously elected deputy chairman of ABC for 2026-27.

The ABC council of management for 2026-27 comprises publisher representatives – Dhruba Mukherjee (ABP) as honorary treasurer, Riyad Mathew (Malayala Manorama) as honorary secretary, Girish Agarwal (DB Corp), Shailesh Gupta (Jagran Prakashan), Karan Darda (Lokmat Media), Adimoolam (Dinamalar) and Janhavi Pawar (Sakal Papers)

The advertising agency representatives are Vaishali Verma (Initiative Media) and Amin Lakhani (WPP Media India), Advertiser representatives are Karunesh Bajaj (ITC), Aniruddha Haldar (TVS Motor), Pelki Tshering (Titan) and Ajay Dang (UltraTech Cement). Adil Kasad continues as secretary general.
