With precise and highly available real-time measurements, the new Valmet Fiberline Analyzers will enhance Södra Cell Mörrum’s ability to stabilize key fiberline process variables and meet their specified product quality parameters.

Valmet will supply two Valmet Fiberline Analyzers to Södra Cell Mörrum, Sweden, helping the mill improve process stability and product quality. The analyzers will enhance the mill’s online measurement capabilities by delivering highly accurate and reliable data to optimize the performance of both fiberlines.

With precise and highly available real-time measurements, the new Valmet Fiberline Analyzers will enhance Södra Cell Mörrum’s ability to stabilize key fiberline process variables and meet their specified product quality parameters.

This delivery also continues the mill’s long-standing use of Valmet’s industry-leading Kappa analyzer technology, now adopted in its fourth generation at the site. This partnership began more than 30 years ago with the delivery of the mill’s first Kappa analyzer back in 1994.

“Our latest generation of Valmet FiberLine Analyzers brings enhanced robustness and analytical depth to fiberline monitoring. With this delivery, we are supporting Södra Cell Mörrum in further strengthening the stability of their production process and securing consistently high-quality pulp output. We value the long-term cooperation with Södra and are proud to contribute with our Kappa analyzer technology that supports their continuous development,” says Roger Holmedahl, senior sales manager, Automation Solutions, Valmet.

The order was included in Valmet’s orders received of the fourth quarter of 2025. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

Valmet Fiberline Analyzer provides stable, accurate, and continuous fiberline monitoring through its dual-cabinet architecture and dual-chamber measuring system, enabling high-frequency measurements for reliable process control. By delivering real-time data on Kappa number, brightness, and fiber and shives characteristics, it supports Södra Cell Mörrum in making timely process adjustments. This advanced capability enhances operational efficiency, ensures consistent pulp quality, and strengthens long-term fiberline performance.

Södra Cell Mörrum is one of Södra’s specialized pulp mills, operating two production lines that manufacture both premium paper pulp and dissolving pulp. The mill produces a wide range of high-quality pulp grades derived from responsibly managed Swedish forests, and is known for its strong focus on safety, innovation, and reducing climate impact.

Södra Cell Mörrum has an annual pulp production capacity of 470,000 tons (approximately 300,000 tons of high-quality softwood market pulp and 170,000 tons of dissolving pulp each year).
