Located about 600 km from Chennai, Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu is home to Creative Printers—a full-service printing hub offering high-quality printing and post-printing solutions. Along with its two other branches, the company is engaged in diverse printing services such as digital and multi-color offset printing, as well as post-printing enhancements. These include premium print embellishments now executed with the PixelGlow Lumina, a digital UV print enhancement printer made in India by Monotech Systems.
Selvin A, managing director of Creative Printers, recounts the company’s journey of growth. “In the beginning, we started like any typical reprographic shop, offering basic photocopy and commercial printing services using a few multifunction digital printers. But as our customers began demanding higher print quality, sharper textures, richer colors, and larger graphic formats, we gradually adopted four-color presses and other production machines to keep pace,” he explains.
According to Selvin, the company’s operations encompass the full spectrum of printing and finishing—across all formats, textures, and quality levels—powered by a suite of advanced machines. “Digital printing, flex and vinyl printing, die-cutting, sticker scoring, shape cutting, and many other related tasks are now handled seamlessly across our three branches—Creative Printers at Palayamkottai, C Prints at Tirunelveli Junction, and Creative Prints at Bypass Kurichi, Melapalayam,” he adds.
A team of 40 skilled professionals now manages these three branches. The company’s machinery lineup—including the Canon imagePRESS V1000, Canon imagePRESS C810, and PixelGlow Lumina—drives Creative Printers’ strong capabilities in turnkey graphic production. “Earlier, we used to outsource print jobs to partners in Chennai, Sivakasi, and Coimbatore. Now, we handle everything in-house and produce up to 100,000 copies a day,” notes Selvin.
Explaining the decision to invest in the PixelGlow Lumina, Selvin recalls, “As customers began requesting spot UV, gold foiling, and similar effects, we were looking for the right solution. We attended a live demo of PixelGlow Lumina at Monotech Systems and immediately decided to purchase it. We’re proud to be the first owners of this machine in the entire southern region. It’s been nearly a year since installation, and it continues to enhance our print finishing game—delivering precise spot UV and gold foiling results.”
The PixelGlow Lumina is a compact digital UV print embellishment system that operates at a speed of 60 sheets per hour, aligning with Creative Printers’ fast-paced workflow. It supports paper weights ranging from 130 gsm to 600 gsm and accommodates sizes up to 14″ x 20″, producing high-resolution prints at 600 × 600 dpi.
