At the recently concluded Media Expo 2025, held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, AT Inks, one of India’s leading manufacturers of digital inkjet inks, showcased its range of products for multiple printing segments. Neerav Goswamy, managing director of AT Inks, said that AT Inks is one of the largest manufacturers of digital inks with a strong global presence. It is a supplier to many of the leading OEMs worldwide and engages in joint product development for ink manufacturing with several of these. It supplies inks for inkjet heads from Epson, Fuji Dimatix, KonicaMinolta, HP, Kyocera, Memjet, Panasonic, Ricoh Seiko and Toshiba.
“We do only digital inks, and that is basically the heart of any printer’s operation, getting the right colours, the right quality, and ensuring long printhead life. In a way, we are the bloodline for a printer.”
Vadodara-based AT Inks’ product portfolio provides a wide range of printing applications across the signage, textile, ceramic tile, décor, and industrial segments. The company produces solvent-based, eco-solvent, UV, LED, and water-based inks, along with ceramic inks used for wet-on-wet tile printing. In the textile segment, AT Inks offers reactive inks for cotton, dye sublimation inks for polyester, and pigment inks for polyester-cotton blends. On average its produces 500,000 liters of inkjet inks each month from its manufacaturing and research and development facilities.
“We are present in all major segments such as signage, textile, décor, and industrial printing,” said Goswamy. “Our range includes coatings, pre-coats, post-coats, and varnishes, offering customers a complete solution under one roof.”
During the exhibition, the company also showcased new product launches designed for emerging applications. “In this edition of Media Expo, we introduced products for décor and laminate printing, as well as UV DTF, DTF, and dye sublimation inks. We continue to innovate and bring new solutions at every exhibition,” he added.
Reflecting on the current market landscape, Goswamy observed that the digital printing industry in India is experiencing robust growth. While signage continues to remain a dominant sector, new applications are increasingly driving demand. “The industry in India is still very robust and growing well. We’re now seeing a trend toward the industrialization of printing. It’s no longer limited to signage; other industrial applications such as décor and textiles, are coming into play in a large number,” he said.
Sustainability through digital printing
Goswamy emphasized that digital printing, by its very nature, of only printing the required quantity and with little or no makeready waste, is a more sustainable process compared to traditional methods. “Digital printing saves enormous amounts of resources,” he explained. “For example, in textiles, you can save almost 90% of water compared to conventional printing methods. It’s a huge contribution toward sustainability.”
He further elaborated that digital printing minimizes waste and material usage. “In any coating or coloring process, such as paint or surface coating, a lot of materials are used. But in digital, because you print in controlled dots, you use only what is needed, making it highly efficient and environmentally friendly.”
For AT Inks, Media Expo has been a valuable platform for connecting with industry professionals, partners, and end users. “Media Expo has been a premier exhibition for us for years. It’s one of the best places to showcase our products and interact with the right audience,” said Goswamy.
