Kolkata’s Shakti Printers, a one-stop provider of print solutions encompassing digital, flex, and offset, offers everything under one roof. The company has enhanced its digital printing by installing a Canon imagePRESS V900—a digital color production press for performance in a compact footprint.

“Canon imagePRESS V900 now running efficiently in our production facility, alongside a string of other digital production presses including a Ricoh Pro C7200X, a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C3080, and so on, has significantly enabled us to boost productivity,” said Anirban Das, manager at Shakti Printers. “We engage in large volume digital printing in which this compact Canon digital press plays a pivotal role.”

Das continues, “When it comes to counting the print volume which the imagePRESS V900 currently contributes to us, in the past few months, it has produced between 1.5 to 2.5 lakh A3 sheets per month, in our Print Environment.” He further mentions that the press, in addition to its productivity, is also commendable for its speed as it swiftly takes in a diverse range of stocks including textured media, non-tearable papers, and many others.”

Compactly engineered for productivity, repeatable colors, and incredible automation, Canon imagePRESS V900 can operate at a speed of up to 90 ppm. It supports lightweight and heavyweight media, including 130 lb covers, envelopes, thinly coated papers, luxury textured media, synthetics, and long sheets. Graphics produced on this digital press are 2400 x 2400 dpi, a foremost resolution in the industry.

According to Das, imagePRESS V900’s advanced features such as default high-productivity mode help hit tight deadlines of their clients of diverse backgrounds and profiles, which include corporate brands, local businesses, and individual orders. He adds, “In addition, we can save time and increase overall efficiency on routine tasks with the machine’s other features like duplex printing and CRT Registration which drastically reduce wastage as well.”

Since its 17 years in the printing business with extensive engagement in diverse verticals, Shakti Printers offers everything from commercial prints and graphic arts, starting from business cards up to large promotional vinyl signage graphics, for which the company keeps upgrading and expanding its machine line-up from one level to another. Das adds, “To keep up with the market trends and meet our clients’ demands, we constantly invest in the right machines, such as the imagePRESS V900, an unconventional machine with unparalleled after-sales support from Canon India.”
