Delhi’s Sagar Studio, a photo album printer, is growing its business with Konica Minolta‘s AccurioPress C7090. Sagar Studio, which started as a photo studio around 20 years ago, has added digital capacity to print photos and photo albums. The printer had invested in an AccurioPress C2070 and was impressed with its performance and so bought a new digital press.

The printer primarily focuses on premium photo printing, which constitutes a significant portion of the business. In addition, it offers other printing services such as reports or projects to accommodate other needs of clients. “We ensure we remain consistent in our offerings as our daily operations involve processing high-quality pictures and making sure to meet deadlines, we have a monthly production of one lakh sheets,” said Avdhesh Trivedi, proprietor.

Sagar Studio is situated near the Seelampur metro station. Trivedi said the neighborhood doesn’t have much need for a commercial printer. “A few students live here and they sometimes need some photocopies or printouts. We accommodate that kind of request with a Canon office printer. There is a strong demand for photos. With ongoing board exams, there were demands for passport-sized photos. Primarily, we are strong in photo printing,” he said.

The AccurioPress C7090 can print volumes of high-quality products. It optimizes print performance by offering advanced and creative possibilities, including high-quality imagery in full bleed. The media-versatile press comes with several features — image density control technology, optional inter-cooler curl eliminator, embossed paper support, paper feeding through air-blow fusing separation, and more. It can handle long sheet sizes of up to 1300 mm and duplex up to 900 mm.

We have made a major investment in the Konica Minolta digital press. The previous Konica Minolta machine was reliable, and we wanted to enhance production. Hence, we decided to upgrade to meet the rising demand for precision and speed in printing services. So far, the C7090 has met our expectations by increasing output, improving photo printing quality, and meeting deadlines.”

On the company plans, Trivedi maintaining quality, which has helped build long-term client relationships, is on its priority list. Though the company is open to all future opportunities, the current strategy involves stability, quality customer satisfaction, and meeting demands without spreading resources too thin.
