With the installation of an AccurioPress C7090 from Konica Minolta, City Print Services, a Delhi-based commercial printer, has significantly increased its operational efficiency, expanded its service offerings, and ensured consistent quality output. The provider that prints short-run books, magazines, reports, and other commodities began its journey with refurbished digital presses from Konica Minolta and outsources its offset jobs.

Proprietor Pawan Bajaj, who has a printing background, used to outsource jobs for government division offices. In 2017, he established his unit after witnessing growth opportunities in digital. He says digital has more prospects in commercial markets than offset.

The commercial printer provides to government sectors, private sectors, and local markets, and has some outstation jobs. The private sector jobs form nearly 50% of the total produce with the monthly production being more than 1 lakh sheets. Bajaj gets repeat orders from Bhopal, Ujjain, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata and some nearby cities.

He said the AccurioPress C7090 that was installed in 2023 has met several expectations, “such as improving print quality and handling complex projects, adapting to its advanced features. Its unique specifications has required some fine-tuning to align with our workflows and preferences. Konica Minolta’s after-sales team has been quite accommodating.”

Bajaj says expansion is central to his vision for the future. “We are looking to invest in an additional digital press to enhance the production of our short-run books and some other equipment. We plan to diversify our service portfolio to include more innovative solutions. We want to increase our market presence as there is tough competition among the digital commercial printers.”
