The Dscoop Mumbai meet, hosted at The Resort in Madh in Malad West on 18 December, brought together industry leaders and experts for a full-day program focusing on innovation, strategy, and growth in the printing and packaging industry. Organized by the Dscoop West Committee, the visitors at the event included commercial printers as well as packaging printers from states such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, and Tamil Nadu, among others, with insights into the future of print and strategies for professional and business transformation.

The day commenced with a warm welcome from the Dscoop West Committee, setting the tone for engaging discussions. During the first session, Faisal Shaikh delivered a keynote address titled ‘From Tradition to Transformation: Professionalizing the Family Business,’ exploring the challenges and strategies for modernizing family-run enterprises.

Following Shaikh’s session, the event included a ‘Partners Pitch,’ where various partners showcased innovative solutions tailored to the printing and business sectors.

After lunch, Milan Modi captivated the audience with his talk on ‘Social Media Strategy: Social Media Mastery – Driving Revenue and Growth in B2C Markets.’ Modi’s insights offered actionable strategies to leverage social media for revenue generation and brand growth. He said that to succeed in today’s market, businesses must embrace social media as a key advertising channel. Focus on creating high-quality, engaging video content to capture your audience’s attention and maximize the potential of platforms such as YouTube and Instagram. By doing so, one can navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape and drive meaningful connections with consumers, he said.

At 3:00 pm, Guy Bibi and Sima Morad from HP presented an insightful session on ‘AI-Powered Printing: Transforming the Future of Print Business.’ During the session delivered virtually from Israel, the duo delved into the role of artificial intelligence in revolutionizing the print industry, emphasizing how AI-powered solutions can enhance efficiency, creativity, and profitability.

After a tea and networking break at 4:30 pm, the event concluded with a panel discussion moderated by Ashok Pahwa of HP on the topic of ‘Business Transformation.’ The panel featured Kayu Dhanbora from Bangalore-based KolorKode, Saifee Makasarwala of Mumbai-based Silverpoint Press, Isha Deshpande of Trigon Digipack, which is also based in Mumbai, and Aditya Upadhyaya of the Bangalore-based SuperFotos DG Xpress.

The discussion provided diverse perspectives on navigating change and embracing transformation in the evolving business landscape. The panelists provided a glimpse into their journey in the print world, their insights into where their company is headed, the scope for collaboration in the print world, and the future of print and packaging.

The Dscoop Mumbai meet highlighted the importance of adaptability, innovation, and collaboration in driving growth and success. With a focus on professionalizing family businesses, mastering social media, leveraging AI, and embracing transformative strategies, the event offered participants invaluable tools to thrive in today’s competitive market.
