Printing Dial, a commercial printer in Noida Sector 10, began its operations by installing a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7090. The company launched in 2023 is run by proprietor Mohammad Rashid, a new entrant in the commercial printing industry. Rashid plans to add a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C1200 and perhaps enter the labels and stickers segment in the future as he witnesses a growth in demand for short-run jobs and corporate orders.

With the hope of becoming a one-stop solution provider, Rashid got into training right after his graduation. After learning the intricacies of handling a press, which was a new subject for him, and managing day-to-day operations, he started his business a year and a half ago. He recalled how he started as an agent, getting outsourced orders, and eventually, gathered enough capital to buy this press.

Rashid praised the Konica Minolta press for its print quality, reduced downtime, and after-sales service and training. The AccurioPress C7090 from Konica Minolta delivers more jobs with added value effectively and serves more customers efficiently. The CMYK cut-sheet toner press offers advanced and creative print possibilities, including good-quality imagery in full bleed. Offering a resolution of 3600 dpi x 2400 dpi, the AccurioPress is an auto duplex machine with a range of up to 900 mm and can handle media from 52 gsm to 400 gsm, making it a reliable technology.

When Indian Printer & Publisher  visited Rashid, he seemed optimistic about growing his printing business. Sector 10 of Noida is a hub of digital commercial printers and we have noticed in the recent couple of years that most printers own at least one machine from Konica Minolta. If not a digital press, at least a multifunction printer from the digital press manufacturer can be seen at every production unit.

He said there is a lot of competition in the market. “We earn our profits from direct customers and retain them as third-party clients offer low margins. Sometimes we work on credit. The quality of the work keeps us in the good books of our customers. As our orders are growing, we plan to add a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C1200. Eventually, we may enter labels,” he concludes.
