Speaking on the occasion, Tunir Deb, treasurer WBMPA, said Jain has held various posts in our association and contributed a lot for the welfare and development of members and other printers of the region. He remained the chairman, government relations, at AIFMP for a long period. With his connection in government bodies, he is always helpful and a guiding spirit for the members of the association. In the past, he remained very active at AIFMP and held positions such as vice president (East), chairman government relations, and chairman Finance & Taxation.
Tarun Ganguly, president, said, Vinod is an asset for WBMPA and active in social service and philanthropy and trustee in various charitable and religious organizations. He was conferred with the ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award’ in 2020 by IIT Kharagpur for his distinguished and exemplary services. He is a committee member of the economic affairs & taxation committee of Confederation of Indian Industry – Eastern Region.
Kamal Chopra said Vinod is not a person but an organization himself. “I have noticed his working tirelessly for the cause of printers of the country, being the chairman of government relations at AIFMP. He has a vision with energy and determination to accomplish the challenges of printers of the country. He has never charged any travel/stay or any other cost while working for the cause of printers at AIFMP.”
A gold-plated ‘Proud to be a Printer’ pin was presented to Vinod by Kamal Chopra.
Jain thanked the association for honoring him with the Lifetime Achievement Award. “This recognition means the world to me, and I am deeply humbled to receive such a prestigious accolade. Working unitedly, or collaboratively, is a powerful approach in any endeavor. I am not happy about what is happening at the apex body these days. I feel, instead of leg pulling we all must join our hands for the overall growth and development of the printing and packaging industry. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey, whether it be mentors, colleagues, friends, or family. This award is a testament to the collective effort of all those who have believed in me and my work. I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to pursue my passion and make a meaningful contribution to my field. I promise to continue striving for excellence and to inspire others as I have been inspired. Thank you once again for this incredible honor.”
