Delhi-based A&M Printer, a known name in commercial & book printing, has installed a brand-new Komori Lithrone GL37. The four-color offset press—supplied and installed by Komori India—has helped A&M Printer to handle increasing demands for premium-quality printing and high-volume production.

A&M Printer, which was into a joint venture earlier, had set out its independent journey in the year 2018. “Since we have been into a new start in business, we keep focusing on major upgrades and developments in all verticals such as machine portfolio, manpower, productivity, etc,” says K R Misra, managing partner, A&M Printer. He says the latest investment in the Komori Lithrone GL37 is a major transformation in the company’s machine portfolio.

We heard industry people praising Komori presses’ flexibility, advanced features, capacity, and cost-effectiveness. This is the major reason why we opted for the brand new four-colour Komori Lithrone G37,” says Misra, adding they have been using some pre-owned presses.

Misra says demands from customers keep increasing in several sectors, particularly in book printing. At last, we are capable of keeping everything under control with the installation of the Komori Lithrone G37. The press is performing well to meet our diverse needs,” Misra says.

The Komori Lithrone G37 features an evolved version of KHS-AI integrated control system for a quick print start-up. Being an ‘Offset OnDemand’ press, it addresses critical needs of short turnarounds, and diverse applications, including short-run jobs with low production costs. Compatible with A-1 size print outputs, Komori Lithrone G37 offers up to a maximum sheet size of 640×940 mm with thickness ranging from 0.04 to 0.60 mm delivered at the maximum printing speed of 15,000 sph (sheets per hour).

With a facility clustered well into pre-press, press, and post-press divisions, A&M Printer is backed by a strong team of 25 printing and production professionals. In the top management, K R Misra is helped by his wife Gita Misra, and son Puneet Misra. A&M Printer primarily engages in three major tasks—book printing (40%), job work (40%), and commercial printing (20%).

Following the installation of Komori Lithrone G37, we have achieved new traction in production volume,” says Puneet Misra, marketing director. “Now, we are capable of producing around 30 lakh sheets every month.” Puneet Misra says they plan to upgrade the pre-press division where a CtP system will be installed soon.
