During the Consumer Electronic Imaging Fair (CEIF) 2024 held in Mumbai from January 11-13, Priyatosh Kumar of Fujifilm India provided insights into the impressive growth trajectory of the Fujifilm Revoria Press PC 1120 since its launch two years ago.
Kumar said the installations of Fujifilm Revoria Press PC 1120 have steadily expanded, reaching 34 units in India. Approximately 50% of these installations have been directed towards serving the photo print market, while the remaining units have been supplied to the commercial printing segment. The success of the Revoria press is not only evident in the growth of installations but also in the increasing print volumes over the past two years.
“We have 34 units of Fujifilm Revoria press installed in India, and about 50% of them have been supplied to photo labs while the rest have been installed in the commercial printing segment. The print volumes on the Revoria have also increased in the last two years,” Kumar said during the event.
The Revoria Press PC 1120 is equipped with a 6-color print engine, boasting a high-speed print capability of 120 pages per minute.
Outlook of Indian printing is bright
Kumar expressed optimism about the future of the print industry in India, attributing it to the rapid expansion of the Indian economy. He anticipates robust growth across various segments, including digital, offset, photo, and packaging printing. With the economic boom, both metro cities and tier 2 and tier 3 cities are expected to contribute to the flourishing print industry in the coming years.
“The Indian economy is expanding at a rapid rate, and that will automatically positively impact the print industry. We expect all forms of print to grow in the coming years. Digital, offset, photo, packaging, all segments are going to grow. We will see growth in metro cities as well as tier 2 and tier 3 cities,” Kumar said.
