As demand for quality digital prints surges at Image Print in Kolkata, the company has tackled it with the additional installation of a new Ricoh Pro C5310S digital colour production press in its production facility. Now, the facility is running two highly-productive Ricoh Pro digital colour production presses—Ricoh Pro C7200x and the newly installed Ricoh Pro C5310S—both supplied and installed by Monotech Systems.
Situated in Kolkata’s Dalhousie Square, Image Print is a crowded commercial printing corner in the city. The company is the brainchild of Danish Rahman, who has a passionate zeal of printing. He was barely a B.Com final-year student when he opened Image Print in 2004. “Actually, Image Print was opened as a meager print shop. However, we never stop upgrading ourselves with the gradual installations of ideal machines. We indulge in printing and production of commercial prints for corporate brochures, fliers, annual reports, etc,” says Rahman.
He adds, “Installations of the Ricoh digital color production presses from Monotech Systems have eventually upgraded our production facility to meet the increasing demands for premium commercial prints. Over the last few months, we received tremendous demands for digital prints from our customers. That’s the reason why we have added the new Ricoh Pro C5310S, complementing the existing Ricoh Pro C7200x that has advanced and unique features like fifth Color Station and others.”
“Our purchase of the Ricoh Pro C7200x from Monotech Systems in the early 2022 marked a big turning point for us as the digital press eventually turned us into a player now resiliently capable to fulfil high-quality and innovative graphic prints from our quality-conscious customers from different market segments and industrial clusters. When the demands from our customers surged, we took the decision of purchasing another digital production press from Monotech Systems and that’s how we embarked upon the Ricoh Pro C5310S.”
The Ricoh Pro C5310S is an ideal digital color production press capable to print brilliant graphics at the speed of 80 ppm (pages per minute). It can take up a broad range of media, lightweight as well as heavyweight, up to 360 gsm and paper sizes up to 13×19.2 inch. Graphic prints produced on the Ricoh Pro C5310S are of 2400×4800 dpi resolution which is highest in the industry. “We had earlier used a Konica Minolta bizhub Pro C6500 digital production press. However, our real game for speed and quality print production has begun only after the installations of the Ricoh presses,” Rahman says.
