Vinsak is all set to showcase its potential at Pamex 2023 to be held at Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai, from 27 to 30 March 2023. On the live demo, Vinsak will display its new range of label finishing equipment that prints QR codes, high-build varnish, and digital cold foiling.

Vinsak Usar

Vinsak will have a live demo of the USAR (universal slitter and rewinder), useful for high-resolution security printing with customizable finishing solutions. Slitter rewinder, die cutting, semi rotary die-cut, 100% inspection/inkjet system can be configured on it as per customer requirements. With major components driven by servomotor, the equipment runs up to 300 meters per minute, the company said. Backed by powerful software and featuring an HMI display for easy job set-up. USAR has many versions but not all will be on display.

ABG – Digicon Series 3

For over 15 years, Digicon digital finishing equipment has been a market leader, with over 1,000 machines installed worldwide. The Digicon Series 3 systems work faster, are capable of adding an even wider range of valuable finishes to labels, packaging and shrink sleeves, and are modular so that they can be tailored to meet individual needs.

Key features of some popular modules and options:

Fast Track Die Cutting: Said to be the world’s fastest semi-rotary die cutting system, able to run at 150 meters per minute and work in-line with the world’s fastest digital print engines.

The Lombardi Converting Machine S.p.A focuses on a high-tech narrow web machine destined for printers who look for high printing quality with simple and fast job changeover. The company has paid attention to two aspects of flexographic printing: the quality of images (which is now almost up to offset printing) and the fast changeover of impression cylinders and ink rollers. And in the light of this need, Flexoline offers advanced technological solutions aimed at ensuring excellent printing with high speeds and granting ease of use. Flexoline is equipped with an A.B.S. printing unit.

Rietstack IRS die cutting non-stop

The IRS stand-alone converting machine is equipped for the production of label stacks in various materials such as IML, paper, carton, film, etc., from a pre-printed reel. It is designed to produce small reels from a pre-printed mother reel by longitudinal cutting of self-adhesives, foil- and paper materials. It can also produce small reels from a pre-printed mother reel in the same way. Because of the servo-driven die-cutting station and a special control system, the machine is able to provide an in-register die cut production.

A Vinsak high-build system

Vinsak has launched a new high-build system for label embellishment and tactile inkjet. It also offers a wide range of monochrome or full color industrial inkjet modules. This modular inkjet system is driven by the latest print head technology.

Vinsak Tabletop Re-winder

The Vinsak TTR has been developed to offer a tabletop re-winder with many features normally found on larger and more expensive inspection/slitting equipment.

The Vinsak TTR is equipped with pneumatically inflating mandrels that ensures positive grip without distorting the label core and finished reel. The tabletop can be tilted towards the operator for increased flexibility and effortless operation, the company says.

Vinsak Roll Lifter (VRL Series)

Vinsak
The Vinsak VRL series is a portable roll lifter equipped with a safety brake for loading, unloading, and transporting the rolls safely.

The Vinsak VRL series is a portable roll lifter equipped with a safety brake for loading, unloading, and transporting the rolls safely. The main focus of this equipment is to reduce and eliminate fatigue and occupational injuries. It improves the manual handling operation, helps to reduce workplace injuries and any material damage.

This series is equipped with safety locks on the rear wheels, which are used to hold the cart in place, in desired position and as a safety feature to keep the cart from rolling while in a stationary position.

Vinsak Brand Protection Solutions

Vinsak Brand Protection Solutions are inclusive of security software, security inks, and complete track and trace functionality.

2023 promises an interesting ride for print in India

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. While the print and packaging industries have been resilient in the past 33 months since the pandemic lockdown of 25 March 2020, the commercial printing and newspaper industries have yet to recover their pre-Covid trajectory.

The fragmented commercial printing industry faces substantial challenges as does the newspaper industry. While digital short-run printing and the signage industry seem to be recovering a bit faster, ultimately their growth will also be moderated by the progress of the overall economy. On the other hand book printing exports are doing well but they too face several supply-chain and logistics challenges.

The price of publication papers including newsprint has been high in the past year while availability is diminished by several mills shutting down their publication paper and newsprint machines in the past four years. Indian paper mills are also exporting many types of paper and have raised prices for Indian printers. To some extent, this has helped in the recovery of the digital printing industry with its on-demand short-run and low-wastage paradigm.

Ultimately digital print and other digital channels will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future. For instance, there is no alternative to a rise in textbook consumption but this segment will only reach normality in the next financial year beginning on 1 April 2023.

Thus while the new normal is a moving target and many commercial printers look to diversification, we believe that our target audiences may shift and change. Like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.

Our 2023 media kit is ready, and it is the right time to take stock and reconnect with your potential markets and customers. Print is the glue for the growth of liberal education, new industry, and an emerging economy. We seek your participation in what promises to be an interesting ride.
