At the recently concluded Media Expo Mumbai 2020, Arrow Digital promoted a number of solutions for the signage and graphics industry. On display were the Efi Vutek H652 UV hybrid printer, Efi Vutek 32r Pro and thermoforming machine from Formech. Arrow Digital also displayed biodegradable green boards.

According to Ujjwala Upadhyay, brand manager at Arrow Digital, the Efi Vutek H652 can be very effective for printing on material used for thermoforming applications. “The biggest highlight of this machine is that the ink does not crack when the material is thermoformed,” she said.

Upadhyay said that Arrow Digital is now able to supply the full range of machines for thermoforming applications. “We have the 3D printing solutions for mold making, Efi for printing on thermoforming material and Formech for thermoforming,” she said.

For the signage market, Arrow Digital displayed the Efi Vutek 32r Pro roll to roll printer. The Pro 32r can print up to 3.2 meters, utilizing Ricoh Gen 5 and 7pl UltraDrop Technology. The printer has a resolution of up to 600 dpi and printing speed of 2,227 square foot per hour. It includes the company’s built-in Fiery Pro Server Core digital front-end, featuring FAST RIP acceleration technology, plus RIP and print-on-demand functionality or the ability to print pre-ripped files at the printer interface.

“The Efi Vutek 32r Pro is meant for the entry-level market in India for signage printing. We already had printers for the higher end of the market but this printer should open up a new market segment for us,” Upadhyay said.

Focusing on sustainability in the signage and graphics industry, Arrow Digital has developed the green board as a replacement for sun board. “The green board has been manufactured by Arrow Digital and is a solution for customers who want PVC-free solutions to replace sun board. This board is completely biodegradable and addresses the issue of sustainability in the printing industry,” Upadhyay concluded.
