SGIA Expo 2018 will be held from 18-20 October 2018 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada, USA. It is the largest expo of North America. The show will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 18 and 19 October, and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on 20 October 2018. Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is associated with the digital and screen printing community. Expanded in the area of around 260,000 net square feet, the show will have more than 600 exhibitors and 25,000 registrants. The golden image competition, product of the year, student printing competition, etc. will be a few highlights of the show.

Fujifilm North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division will launch its Acuity Ultra, a cost-effective high speed, superwide UV roll-to-roll press for the production of high-end interior graphics and outdoor signage at Stand 1119. The Acuity Ultra Series will be available in 126” (3.2 m) and 197” (5 m) versions. Additionally, Fujifilm will showcase SpyderX, a UV wide format press, designed and manufactured by Inca Digital. The robust 126” (3.2 m) wide, 6-color + white SpyderX is available as either flatbed or a combination flatbed/roll-to-roll system model for handling rigid and flexible substrates. This printer is capable of producing a wide variety of output at high speeds up to 2,476 square feet per hour (230 m²/hr). The B1 (27.8” x 39.4”) format OnsetM inkjet press from Inca and Fujifilm, is a short run solution for sign and display, commercial and industrial print applications. With print speeds of 200 boards per hour and 7 pl drop quality, the printer delivers cost-effective short-run jobs in popular format sizes.
Roland DGA will showcase its latest inkjet printers and other advanced digital devices. Additionally, it will conduct a complete schedule of live, in-stand special events designed to engage, educate and inspire attendees at Stand 1137. Visitors will see ‘How I Built My Business’ interviews with accomplished Roland end users on the main stage, attend vehicle wrap demonstrations by the pros from Digital EFX Wraps, participate in hands-on workflows, get UV and dye-sublimation tips from Roland DGA product managers, and even enter Roland’s latest global contest for a chance to win an African safari for two.
OneVision Software will demonstrate how its Wide Format Automation Suite acts as the perfect link – the so-called middleware – between the webshop system/MIS and RIP at Stand 4603. To simplify the implementation of a holistic end-to-end workflow for print shops, the Wide Format Automation Suite also includes a cut line manager that repairs broken cut lines and generates a cut line PDF analog to the print PDF. This gives the cutter instructions for a seamless finishing process. The Regensburg-based company will be releasing its new software version 18.2, which focuses on extended barcode functionality with expanded nesting function.
