Konica Minolta plans to exhibit KIP 770 monochrome printer and wide format scanner at PAMEX 2017 in Mumbai this month. KIP 770 is a 36” wide monochrome printer supporting full color wide format scanning of documents with good throughput, high resolution and touchscreen convenience. The machine also accepts inputs from mobile sources and USB drives and handles multiple page sizes and paper rolls. The machine is pivotal in the architectural space.

Konica Minolta recently launched a new toner based Accurio Press, the C6100. The machine’s ability of automatic density adjustment, color management and front-to-back registration reduces excessive time consumption. Gradation and front-to-back registration are continuously monitored and corrected in real time with no loss in productivity, minimizing color fluctuations, registration misalignment and other errors during printing. The color print speed of C6100 is 100 pages per minute. The machine also has wide range of print applications on thin paper, thick stock (52-400gsm), embossed paper and envelopes. The machine supports printing on boards and banners (up to 51 inches) which was not available earlier. Overall, the C6100 is a stable and robust machine. The C6100 is also a replacement to Konica Minolta C8000 and C1100.

The Konica Minolta MGS JETVARNISH 3DS comes with a new varnish formula in combination with Konica Minolta print heads to create a 3D effect on laminated surfaces or on toner directly. The machine allows customers to spot varnish up to 2298 A3 pages per hour. The machine can spot UV or foil on digital prints without any treatment. The Konica Minolta drop-on-demand technology makes use of the ultra-precise piezoelectric print heads to produce extremely thin lines (of 0.5mm). The output speed of the machine is 3000 sheets per hour in 30-micron coating thickness. The machine can cover sheets up to 14.33” wide and 40.15” long. High-gloss coating formula of the MGS JETVARNISH 3DS delivers a gloss level of 99% (G.U.). The machine has been installed at 12 different facilities so far.

The revolutionary Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM – 1 incorporates a new UV ink, high-performance inkjet print heads and system processing technologies. The light-cured UV ink developed for AccurioJet KM – 1 avoids paper problems caused by heat drying and provides high accuracy of front-to-back registration. The single pass system of the machine realizes high-speed output of 3000 sheets per hour at an high image quality of 1200 dpi. The KM – 1 also supports large-volume paper ejection up to a height of 680 mm. In the duplex printing mode, the output speed of the machine is 1500 sheets per hour. Though the company is yet to sell a unit in India, it’s performing quite well overseas.

The C6501, a machine from 2008 is one of the oldest Konica Minolta machines still in operation. Konica Minolta cannibalizes old machines for similar kinds in some cases. Based on a report from International Data Corporation (IDC), Konica Minolta claims to have a strong 50% market share.
