Ahmedabad based Arrow Digital distributes digital printing and cutting solutions from leading global brands such as Efi, OKI and Jetirx amongst others. At the recent Media Expo in Mumbai, Arrow demonstrated the OKI M-64S eco solvent inkjet printer from Japan.

The OKI M-645 printer has revolutionized the low-odour eco solvent inkjet market with its highspeed print engine plus low-odor WX ink. With a print width of 64 inches, the M-64S and can print on any roll based media including adhesive vinyl banners and PVC at speeds up to 49.7 square metres an hour. The printer comes with large capacity 1.5 liter ink cartridges and built in sub tanks that support continuous high volume printing.

“The printer offers grey ink in addition to the standard 6 color configuration which creates real morochrome images without color shifts. We are focusing on customers who would pay a premium for the technology,” said Nikesh Patel, sales manager, Arrow Digital.

At the Mumbai show, Arrow Digital also promoted the large variety of printers that it distributes from the Efi’s expanded inkjet portfolio such as Matan, Vutek, Jetrion and Reggiani. In India, there a few important customers in the textile printing segment have already installed Reggiani while there are there are close to 12 Vutek installations in India.

“Since the soft signage segment in India is growing at a very fast pace, we have some serious enquiries for Vutek and we are in talks with a few potential customers. Later this year, we expect to get a Vutek FabriVU printer for our demo centre in Ahmedabad. Similarly a Matan textile printer is likely to be installed in the country this year,” says Patel.

At Media Expo, Arrow Digital also talked about the Reggiani ReNOIR NEXT, an entry level industrial digital printer for direct and sublimation printing on paper and fabric. This printer can print on either paper and fabric with the same ink without any technical modification.

Patel said that the response at Media Expo was very good with many existing as well as new customers visiting the Arrow Digital stand. “We wanted the graphics industry to become more aware about our products through this event and we are satisfied that we accomplished this,” he said.
