At PrintPack India 2017, Technova displayed a range of digital products and software suits. On the digital front, the company showcased its Konica Minolta digital presses and digital postpress solutions by Duplo. In addition, there was on display the Esko Kongsberg sample maker, Technova’s latest addition to the portfolio. The company also displayed its complete range of software suite to the visitors to its stand. “Software is a very focussed area for Technova because we know what really drives a device properly is its software,” says Deepak Chawla, head – inkjet CtP solutions and general manager – marketing and corporate communication at Technova.

“Our objective of participating at the PrintPack exhibition was to showcase our products and the kind of technologies that we are promoting. With the advent of digital devices in the field, our philosophy is that it is not digital versus offset; it is digital and offset. So our endeavor is to see how Technova can help its customers. Our focus has always been what the printers need rather than what we want to sell,” says Chawla. Over the last few years, Technova has graduated from a consumables supplier to a total solutions supplier.

“We have been trying to champion the cause of going green. If you look at our stand, we have two major themes—‘Go Digital’ and ‘Go Green,’” says Chawla. “So these are two major focus areas that we are targeting. All the devices or technologies that you saw at the Technova stand were either digital or green, or both. We have also launched a new plate called GreenJet, which is primarily an inkjet CtP plate. The plate is an alternative for thermal, violet or UV plates.”

For the last one year, Technova has been focussing on going beyond products—providing services to its customers. “For example, we provide consultations and workshops on safety, how to make your place safe. The awareness of safety in our country is very low,” concludes Chawla.
