At Media Expo 2016, Colorjet India displayed its new facelift model Neptune. “The model comes with some interesting new features,” says Smarth Bansal, brand manager of Colorjet India. The company has installed more than 1500 Neptune machines in India, according to Bansal. “We tied up with Konica Minolta for a special offer where for every booking of Neptune during the Media Expo, customers were given a free print-head. This is a really big offer and we closed about 35 machines under this offer in just three days.”

The other machine displayed at the event was the soft signage machine, Softjet Grand, which prints on fabrics. “Now a days, as you know that flex has been banned in states like Karnataka and Kerala. Many customers who were using flex are gradually shifting towards fabrics; so this machine holds a lot of promise for them,” says Bansal.

At the event, Colorjet launched another flexi model, Polo Turbo, which comes with speeds up to 2800 sq. ft. per hour and features eight print-heads. With a printing resolution of 1,440 dpi in CMYK, the Polo Turbo can print 3,300 mm, with a maximum thickness of 3.00 mm. The printer can print various substrates such as SAV, PVC backlit film, window film and solvent-based fabrics, according to Bansal.

“Last year we did a lot of interesting marketing activities and successfully acquired more than 15 new print service providers. This year, we are focusing on corporate marketing where a lot of corporates will be recommending Colorjet machines for printing their campaigns,” says Bansal. “For this we have tied up with many good outdoor media companies who in turn will be convincing their customers and dealers to use Colorjet network of printers. I believe this strategy will be a successful one because across 400 cities we have 2,000 Colorjet printers installed. In a way, we are the Colorjet brand custodians and that is what we are trying to create.”
