Manugraph India the leading producer of 2 x 1 web offset presses together with its subsidiary Manugraph Americas, has announced that the just concluded drupa 2016 exhibition was by all accounts an excellent event for the company. Drupa 2016 far exceeded the company’s expectations for the event in terms of interested visitors and potential customers from the newspaper and book industries as well as the likely deals that are expected to be concluded in coming months.
“The strong investment climate and positive outlook for the global printing industry has made the difference,” said Manugraph’s vice chairman and managing director Sanjay Shah. “We experienced signing orders, especially for our renowned state-of-the-art, durable and easy to operate 2 x 1 presses. Orders were signed for the Indian, Asian, and African markets and Manugraph Americas also reported strong sales to the North American and Caribbean market.”
Flexible packaging partnerships
With the focus on global expansion plans, Manugraph India announced at drupa 2016 its new strategic partnerships with European and Indian manufacturers of flexible packaging equipment. The initial partnerships include gravure and narrow web flexo label presses. A record packaging equipment order was also signed for the Asian market at the event, backing up the company’s claim that diversification is the way forward. “We are constantly evaluating areas where we can grow our businesses to take advantage of our global manufacturing and marketing capabilities,” said Shah.
Utilizing its sales offices in India, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States, together with its strategic agent partnerships, Manugraph will immediately widen its global sales efforts. Manufacturing of packaging equipment in India is also a part of the longer term goals of the company, according to Shah.
