Launches new UV ink technology for vehicle graphics

Fujifilm Sericol India, a leading printing ink supplier, talked about its screen printing ink systems at Screen Print India 2016. The company stand displayed various samples of how Fujifilm Sericol inks are applied in automotive dials, touchscreen panels, decals, signage, containers and garments.

In screen printing inks system Fujifilm Sericol has UV and solvent based inks. The company’s graphic inks, industrial inks, packaging inks and textile inks are used for a wide gamut of applications that include signage, POP displays, vehicle graphics, helmet decals, automotive panels, graphic overlays, credit cards, optical discs, garments, non-garments, sports goods, container decoration, metal decoration. It also offers a wide gamut of chemicals and emulsions for screen printing applications.

In graphic inks Fujifilm Sericol has brands like Polyplast which has two to five years outdoor durability. Korripak KK series has adhesion on pre-treated polypropylene and one-year outdoor durability. UV curing inks include the versatile Graphical GL series having three years outdoor durability and excellent adhesion to a wide range of plastics. Uvigloss UD series has five years of outdoor durability for printing specially on vinyl while Uviflute PK series with one-year outdoor durability is specially designed for pre-treated fluted polypropylene. Plasti Sign PN series has good adhesion to PVC foam board, PVC flex and vinyl, with one year outdoor durability.

Fujifilm Sericol used the platform of Screen Print India to launch a new product called Smart UV.This technology is meant for printing vehicle graphics. “This technology is patented by Fujifilm Sericol and is aimed at the vehicle segment, both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The biggest advantage of this new products that it reduces a lot of processes and consequently increases productivity,” said Anand Belulkar, national sales manager, industrial product group, Fujifilm Sericol India. Some other salient features of Smart UVare that it generates vibrant colors, produces excellent gloss and has high outdoor durability, Belulkar added.
