Newstech participated in the Wan-Ifra Middle East Expo and Conference, which was held on 24 and 25 February in Dubai as a Gold Sponsor. Of the 12 stands given to sponsors, Newstech was the only company from India, represented by managing director, Roy Alex; executive director, Sandra Alex; and Yogesh Patil, executive manager – technical services.

Newstech exhibited under the theme ‘Made in India since 2003,’ showing the Mailroom and Ink Pumping System, manufactured in India since 2003. The Middle East newspaper market, especially among the middle and lower circulation papers, require automation in Mailroom and Ink Pumping areas, as most of them are still in the manual operation mode – this provides good potential for Indian manufacturers to explore this market.
