Digital offset printing and LED UV are going to be the next big things for the market and drupa 2016 will reveal the next course of the industry, says Vinay Kaushal of Provin Technos. At drupa 2016, Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology (RMGT) will introduce to the world its new symbol mark, new corporate message, and a line-up of printing equipment featuring a new uniform design inspired by the exhibit theme of ‘Irodori — Coloring the World Together.’ The show will feature three presses – the RMGT 10, a 1050 mm format offset press; an RMGT 9 – the A1-size offset press with two LED-UV curing units; and, the RMGT DP7, a B2-size liquid toner type digital offset press jointly developed with Miyakoshi Printing Machinery.
RMGT 10 – 1050 mm offset pressÂ
A 6-color wide stock press, the RMGT 10 can perform nonstop printing on heavy stock thanks to a newly developed automatic non-stop feeder and delivery shutter. It is also equipped with a chamber coater, and demonstrations will feature varnish coating using an LED-UV curing unit. The press features a PQS in-line printing quality control system for quality management of package printing on heavy stock.
RMGT 9 – A1-size pressÂ
An 8-color convertible perfecting press, combining the highly reliable sheet transport achieved on RMGT’s 1050 mm format presses with software that ensures easy maintenance, this press offers improved productivity. Two LED-UV curing units, one over the perfecting device and the other at the delivery section, enable one-pass instant-curing perfecting.
The press is equipped with a Smart-RPC fully automatic simultaneous plate changer that drastically reduces the makeready time for job changes. The press will also be equipped with a PQS in-line printing quality control system for simultaneous printing quality control of both sides of the sheet during perfecting.
RMGT DP7 – B2-size liquid toner type digital offset press
Designed for the age of digital printing, RMGT DP7 is a next-generation B2-size liquid toner type digital offset press. Demonstrations will highlight the advantages of a digital offset press that can flexibly meet the need of custom print production for small lots.
