Fujifilm India promoted a wide gamut of solutions ranging from prepress solutions to wide format printing at Pamex 2015. In the wide format printing segment Fujifilm talked about it wide range of solutions such as its Onset series, Uvistar series, Acuity Advance series and Acuity LED 1600. On display was the Acuity LED 1600, which attracted a good number of visitors.

“Our focus is on green technology and for that the Acuity LED 1600 is an apt solution. There is low energy consumption from the proprietary LED UV curing system. Moreover, it can handle roll-to-roll and rigid applications including heat-sensitive film and non-PVC media,” said Pradipta Chowdhury, manager sales-WFIJ, graphic arts division, Fujifilm India. “Acuity LED 1600 gives excellent results on PET film, PETG, self-adhesive vinyl and conventional PVC, stock paper, board and even lightweight aluminium. The Acuity LED 1600 uses the same ink for both rigid and roll applications.”

The second product on display was the newly launched DX series thermal platesetter from Eastcom.

For the offset commercial printing segment, Fujifilm promoted the PRO-T3 plates. PRO-T3 is a process-less plate that eliminates the processor, chemistry, gum and water used in the conventional plate production process, the plate being taken straight from the platesetter onto the press. “Again this product is keeping in mind the environment and saving of resources,” Chowdhury stated.

Fujifilm India will soon open a Demo Center in Mumbai to showcase its technologies for the benefit of customers. Speaking about it Chowdhury said that the Demo Center will be operational by December end or early January. “The Demo Center will be helpful in letting customers get familiar with our technologies and machines. They can feel how various systems work and try them out.”

Taking about the response received at Pamex Chowdhury said that the Fujifilm stand saw a large footfall from visitors from the Southern states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka in addition to Gujarat and Maharashtra. “We received a good number of enquiriesfor the Acuity LED 1600,” he concluded.
