Bobst India used the platform of Pamex 2015 to talk about it two recently launched products. There were no demonstrations at the stand but information about the products was disseminated via video. Bobst promoted its Novacut 106 ER diecutter and LILA-II folder-gluer. Both these technologies were presented earlier this year at Competence ’15, which was held at Bobst’s Pune facility. LILA-II folder- gluer was premiered at Competence’15.

The Novacut 106 ER diecutter has in-line blanking on a diecutter which is comparatively a new process for folding carton converters in India. At present a majority of folding carton makersin this region diecut jobs with stripping or without stripping done manually. This new Novacut gives carton makers access to in-line blank separation.

“These two products have been a success in the Indian market and we have done lot of installations,” said Amit Tiwari, sales manager – West, business unit-sheetfed. LILA-II folder-gluer which was introduced at Competence’15 has been well received by both folding carton and corrugated board packaging makers with its smooth blank transportation, excellent folding quality and high productivity, handling both micro-flute and heavy corrugated board with ease. This folder-gluer represents an extension of the successful LILA range of machines for litho-laminated box production on 145 cm and 170 cm widths needed by corrugated packaging manufacturers. The machine is also available in 106 cm and 126 cm widths for folding carton and litho-laminated box production.

The new LILA II is a combined effort of the team in India and at Bobst Mex and is produced at the Pune factory. Talking about the response received at Pamex 2015, Tiwari stated that the company was able to meet a lot of existing customers at the event. However, there were not many new customer enquiries, despite a huge number of visitors during the four days.
