Epson shines at Red Dot Design Awards

Inkjet printers win Best of the Best Award in product design; seven other designs also honored

Epson has announced that its inkjet printers in the ET-4950, ET-3950, and ET-2950 series, as well as the EW-M678FT, EW-638T, and L6360 have won the Best of the Best Award, the highest distinction in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026. This award is bestowed on only a very small percentage of all submissions.

This marks the seventh time that Epson has received the Best of the Best Award. In addition, two projectors, one scanner, two dry-process office papermaking systems, one printer, and one I/O box also received a Red Dot Award.

Best of the Best award-winning design

Inkjet Printers: ET-4950/3950/2950 Series, EW-M678FT, EW-638T, and L6360: These are high-capacity EcoTank inkjet printers designed for small offices and home use. The increased number of people working from home or remotely has fueled interest in workspace designs and environments that are conducive to productivity and comfort. These printers address this with designs that balance usability with an exterior that harmonizes with home interiors.

These printers also integrate environmental considerations and offer a longer product lifespan than previous models.

Red Dot: Product Design winners

Home Projectors: Lifestudio Flex EF-72, EF-71, EF-52, and EF-51: These smart projectors with Google TVâ„¢1 OS allow you to easily enjoy video-on-demand on a large screen. The unique Triple Core Engine with three LCD panels and a three-color light source delivers bright, vivid images. Sound by Bose speakers provides immersive audio for the best viewing experience.

The adjustable stand, reminiscent of a stand light, and real-time automatic correction make it easy to enjoy large-screen images without installation hassles. The ambient light creates a rich atmosphere, turning viewing time into a special experience.

Home Projectors: Lifestudio Pop EF-62B/N, EF-61G/R/W, and EF-50G/R/T: These smart projectors with Google TV OS allow you to easily enjoy VOD on a large screen anytime, anywhere. The unique Triple Core Engine with three LCD panels and a three-color light source delivers bright, vivid images, while Sound by Bose speakers provide immersive audio for the best viewing experience. Real-time automatic correction and compact size make them easy to use anywhere. The simple, smart design and a wide range of color variations mean there is a perfect match for any interior.

Flatbed Scanners: DS-1760WN, DS-1730: These are compact A4 flatbed scanners equipped with an ADF3. They help to improve business efficiency through data digitization and reduce paper consumption.

An intuitive and easy-to-understand operation panel ensures high usability, while the simple, clean design combining a sense of robustness with gently rounded forms blends seamlessly into office environments. In addition, the scanners offer greater installation flexibility and enable more efficient use of space thanks to a 25-mm smaller footprint width than previous models.

Dry-Process Office Papermaking System: PaperLab Q-5000/Q-40: This dry-process office papermaking system creates new paper from used paper using only a very small amount of water. The main unit is about 50% smaller in volume than the previous model. The fibers in Dry Fiber Paper are bound together using a natural binder, and the paper can be recycled repeatedly, improving environmental performance.

The paper source processor enables confidential collection and processing of used paper at locations separate from the main unit, allowing anyone to contribute to environmental efforts easily.

Dry-Process Office Papermaking System: PaperLab A-8100: This is a dry office papermaking machine from Epson that creates new paper from used paper using only a very small amount of water. In addition to A4 and A3 sizes, it supports extended A3 size sheets suitable for bookbinding. Moreover, it can also produce paper of various thicknesses and colors.

Built-in sensors detect the type of paper inserted and automatically optimize papermaking conditions, enabling anyone to produce paper with stable and consistent quality.

Inkjet Label Press: SurePress L-5034: This inkjet label press uses Epson’s own water-based pigment ink. It prints at a speed of 13.5 meters per minute with 1200×1200 dpi resolution for medium-sized lot adhesive label production, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from food to industrial products. Improved maintenance reduces the daily workload, requires less manpower, and makes for a safe, clean work environment.
