Salem (Tamil Nadu)-based Ridha Prints has been a user of Canon digital printing technology for years. The company’s production facility is now equipped with five Canon digital production presses, the latest being an imagePRESS V800. The company added the new unit as part of its move to enhance print quality and magnify the productivity of digitally printed graphics and finished products.
Shahulhameed Mohamedrafi, director, Ridha Prints, says, “We have chosen this new iPR V800 digital color production press from Canon India for its ability to produce high-quality and high-volume prints flawlessly. This is the second arrival of the same model in our facility, with which we now have a total of five Canon presses running productively and efficiently for all digital printing jobs. Every single Canon digital press in our facility is a perfect engine, designed with advanced features and added capabilities.”
He continues, “In addition to print quality and productivity, the iPR V800 is perfect in many ways. This digital engine is ideally engineered for versatile media acceptability and automated features. After all, it stands on a minimal footprint to deliver outsized print outputs in outstanding quality, textures, and vivid colours. Many features of this Canon digital production press are exceptional compared to any other machine in its class now easily available in the market. That’s why we went for the second unit of this highly capable Canon machine.”
Operating at a speed of 80 (A4 size) ppm (pages per minute), the iPR V800 produces graphic prints in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400×2400 dpi. It compatibly prints on varied thin and thick media ranging from 52 gsm up to 350 gsm. Its media flexibility is remarkable, as it seamlessly handles a wide range encompassing covers, envelopes, synthetics, coated and luxury textured papers, and long sheets of 1300 mm. Automated features of the iPR V800 include inline colour calibration and advanced registration, which in turn make it suitable for handling diverse media and complex jobs without much operator intervention.
Five imperative Canon production presses now benchmark quality and productive digital printing at Ridha Prints—the two iPR V800 units complemented by three iR ADV monochrome units. “Digital printing at our facility is perfectly integrated with offset printing to meet the wide variety of print demands from our customers from diverse industrial clusters, such as FMCG, pharmaceutical, apparel, and electronics,” said Mohamedrafi, adding, “Our current focus is on high-quality book printing with no MOQ (minimum order quantity) for everyone, including authors, students, and publishers.”
Founded in 1985 as a one-stop solution provider for customers across the printing and packaging industries, Ridha Prints has never been reluctant when it comes to adopting the latest and most upgraded machines and technologies, such as the recently installed iPR V800. Mohamedrafi says that, in addition to the machines, Canon India’s team deserves praise for its unconditional after-sales service support, which is available anytime, under any circumstance, when needed.
