At Print Expo Chennai 2025, Canon India, a leader in digital imaging solutions, launched a newly upgraded version of its imagePRESS V1000, widely utilized as a high-end graphic printing solution with a new vacuum paper feeding deck. Engineered for entry-level, light and mid-production print environments, the imagePRESS V1000 has received a decent response since its launch.
The new vacuum paper feeding deck is compatible with the current imagePRESS V900/V800/V700 series color production printers. The vacuum-feed technology ensures a stable feeding of the papers and increases productivity across a range of printing applications.
The paper feeding deck has three standard paper trays with a 5000-sheet capacity and is designed to elevate and expand paper handling capabilities and operate efficiently without any manual intervention during the printing process. This solution is designed to meet the demands of high-volume environments with uninterrupted print runs and supports a fully automated process for up to 10,000 sheets when two POD Deck-F1 are connected in tandem.
According to C Sukumaran, senior director, products and communication, Canon India, “Since its launch, the imagePRESS V1000 has set a new benchmark in the printing industry, receiving extremely positive feedback and seeing widespread installations across the country.” Several production presses have been installed in India since July.
The upgraded iPR V1000 has already been installed at Green Print in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, and the printer is already equipped with iPR C910 and iPR C600 on its production floor. Along with PVC stickers, which they exclusively produce on the new iPR V1000, they also deal with other end-products such as cards, including customized invitation cards on textured media and metallic boards, ID cards, brochures, catalogs, fliers, etc.

Bengaluru’s D2 Designs got a Canon iPR V700 for a portfolio consisting of business invitations, invitation cards, ID cards, envelopes, customized diaries, and calendars. Madurai-based Xcellant Xerox, a new commercial printing start-up, also acquired a new Canon iPR V700 compact digital color production press.
Mumbai-based Bharani Print & Projects installed the iPR V800, a prominent commercial printer and producer of a range of premium-quality finished products comprising finished end-products such as brochures, pamphlets, catalogs, fliers, inserts, cards, and stationery items.
Explaining the reason for choosing the iPR V800, Aman Bhavesh Pandya, designated partner at Bharani Print & Projects, said the compact Canon production press is packed with features and capabilities, which are comparatively more ‘advanced’ than other presses. “We have been using another digital color production press from a different brand for years. However, the overall dexterity of this new Canon digital press, which we installed in July this year, is really incredible,” he adds.
Navi Mumbai-based Nav Durga Enterprises has upgraded its overall digital printing and production capability with the installation of a brand-new Canon imagePRESS V800 digital color production system.
“These days, customers are highly quality-conscious. Vividness in colors, crispiness in graphic textures, and accuracy in every single print output are the need of the hour. Without all these characteristic components in the print process and results, there is no way to impress and engage quality customers in business. Our newly installed iPR V800 is the right machine capable of doing it,” says Devji Manodara, proprietor of Nav Durga Enterprises.

Delhi’s Shyam Electrostat added an iPR V900 recently. It offers pre-press as well as post-press jobs such as scanning, hard binding, and lamination for walk-in customers and corporate sectors.
Manoj Kumar Singhal, proprietor of Shyam Electrostat, said, “The recent addition of the new iPR V900 to our facility is strategic because this Canon digital color production system offers high-end graphics in vivid colors, which other presses in its class cannot.”
