Providing premium commercial printing services with a range of finished products, Hyderabad-based iCards has been working for clients of diverse profiles and backgrounds. The company runs a raft of highly advanced digital production machines consisting of Canon presses in their production setup, which has been upgraded with an imagePRESS V1350 supplied and installed by Canon India.
On why they added the new iPR V1350, Mani Varghese, managing director of iCards, says, “This fast Canon digital color production system is a perfect machine for high-volume production. We specifically chose this robust and compact digital production press to meet the increasing demands of quality prints from our clients these days. We have been running Canon presses. However, this new iPR V1350 is ideal for high-volume production.”
Recalling the arrival of the first Canon machine at iCards, Varghese said, “In 2015, we installed our first Canon press – iPR C700. It was followed by an iPR C8000VP in 2018, which we did with pride, being the first owner of the flagship Canon production digital color press in Telangana,” adding, “Over the past decade, we have kept upgrading our family of Canon presses with regular additions of newer and upgraded models.”
Varghese said they presently run three key Canon digital color production presses. One is the latest iPR V1350; an iPR C8000VP and an iPR V900. “In addition, we have two units of imageRunner Advance DX 8786 presses for monochrome print production.”
“It has been just two months since we installed this iPR V1350. This machine excels in productivity,” says Varghese, adding, “On average, we are producing 300,0000 sheets every month on the machine.” Designed with innovative technology and high levels of built-in automation, iPR V1350 is capable of operating at a speed of delivering 135 A4 pages per minute (ppm). Graphics are printed in a resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi.
Varghese says the advanced features and capabilities of the new iPR V1350 in their setup have infused a new prowess into iCards’ strong team of 22 skilled printing and production staff members for faster productivity and enhanced graphic print outputs.
“We are equally satisfied with the way team Canon India amiably supports us in the post-installation phases of every single machine they have supplied to us to date,” he concludes.
