Insight Print Communications has installed India’s first Atexco Vegapress 660C HD at Parshvi Graphics in Ghaziabad, marking a significant milestone for the publishing and printing industry. The June launch brought together players from the publishing and printing industry and featured a live demonstration of the Vegapress 660C HD to show its quality and capabilities.
Parshvi Graphics and Kamal Sons are sister concerns founded in 2002 with a vision to deliver high-quality printing and packaging solutions. Led by founders and promoters Anuj Jain and Karan Gupta, and director Anchit Jain, the group brings vast experience, deep industry knowledge, and a shared passion for innovations in the printing and packaging industry.
“We are excited to embark on this new journey with the Atexco Vegapress. The press enables us to expand into short-run book printing. It opens up a world of new applications for us, from customized paper bags for our packaging division to textile inserts, bespoke packaging, on-demand books and magazines, OMR sheets, direct mail, and more. With its ability to handle paper from 40 gsm to 200 gsm, we have the flexibility to experiment and deliver innovative solutions to our customers,” Jain said at the launch event.

The Atexco Vegapress 660C HD can handle paper reels up to 660 mm wide and is equipped with 48 print heads, delivering speeds of up to 150 meters per minute. This press can print colors on both coated and uncoated paper. It features an integrated cutting and slitting unit, allowing the printed material to be finished into complete book blocks ready for binding, streamlining the entire production process.
It supports a wide range of substrates, including offset paper, coated paper, inkjet-coated paper, newsprint paper, rice paper, art paper, and more. Its water-based pigment ink offers drying properties and paper adaptability, ensuring superior performance. Featuring a new anti-turbulence droplet technology, the system sharpens text edges, enhances image quality, and improves color saturation.
Utilizing a systems engineering design, Atexco developed a patented inkjet digital printing system. The machine is automated, featuring improved integration that eliminates the need for manual intervention during production, ensuring stable and efficient operation.
“We see a clear shift of offset printers toward advanced webpress inkjet technology, and partnering with Parshvi for this milestone installation is a moment of pride for us. The Atexco Vegapress 660C HD is the first of its kind in India, and with Parshvi’s vision, we look forward to exploring many applications beyond just books and publishing. This marks our 15th Vegapress installation in India, reaffirming our position as a market leader, powered by our strong application expertise and dedicated service team,” said Ajay Aggarwal, MD and CEO at Insight Print Communications.
“I first came across this press at drupa and was impressed by what it could do. After seeing it run in China, I was convinced that this is the future of printing. I knew we had to be the first to bring it to India and stay ahead of the curve,” Jain said, constrained by concerns over running costs. “Over the past few years, inkjet technology has advanced rapidly, addressing these challenges and unlocking new possibilities. With the Atexco Vegapress, the crossover between offset and inkjet digital is somewhere around 2000 copies. Plus, you can print on demand.”
According to Aggarwal, the Atexco Vegapress is available in two different web widths, 440 mm and 660 mm, to suit varying production needs. For converters looking to enter the digital inkjet webpress market at a smaller scale, Insight offers a compact ‘mini press’ option. This technology significantly reduces waste, manpower requirements, and logistics costs, while eliminating the need to stock and handle over 35 different raw materials typically used in traditional printing, all leading to a smaller production footprint and greater operational efficiency.
“Our launch event marks a new chapter in the printing journey of Kamal Sons and Parshvi Graphics. Insight has been an exceptional partner throughout, from evaluating the press to installation and now training our team. We look forward to strengthening this partnership further and continuing to serve the industry with the very best,” Gupta said.
